Scarborough Hospital League of Friends
Scarborough Hospital League of Friends was formed in 1996 to provide 'comforts' for patients: little things that the NHS was not able to provide.
From the outset, one fundamental way of helping patients was to provide emergency toiletry packs, so that people admitted through A&E didn't have to be without soap or toothpaste.
As the years have gone by, and NHS money has become ever tighter, the scope of the League's contributions has expanded. Over a million pounds has been raised - and mostly spent - with every penny benefiting local people. The league has refurbished departments; bought innumerable TVs; provided infection-control-compliant Dyson fans for nearly every ward in the Hospital; bought expensive medical monitors and scanners; and sent any number of nurses and other staff on important training courses.
If you'd like to contribute to this valuable work, either trusting the League committee to spend your money wisely, or asking for it to benefit a particular ward or patient group, please email info@scarboroughleagueoffriends.org

Thank you - every penny counts!
